Darryl Eubanks, Station Camp's single season record holder for tackles in season (93), will be heading to Carson-Newman in Jefferson City to extend his playing career; however, his football talents are not the only talents he will be taking with him. Eubanks, who has been active in Station Camp's Select Choral Program, received a musical scholarship along with others for his outstanding grades and character. "Carson-Newman was the right place for me," said Eubanks. "I wanted to go somewhere where you're not just another number, and Carson-Newman was the place for me." Coach David Crawford, "We excited to have someone like Darryl become a part of our program." Eubanks, a two year starter at inside linebacker, helped the Bison make history in 2008 by helping his team reach the quarter finals in class 3A and in 2009 by leading the Bison football program in their leap to 5A and the state's highest classification in 9-AAA. "I've been working hard to get ready for the next level. I've been working with a personal trainer on my speed and quickness and coming in early before school working with Robby (teammate) and Coach Walker in the weight room." Coach Hollinsworth, "We are all very excited for Darryl and all that he has done here at Station Camp. He will be greatly missed."
